A King’s Irrigation professional will assess your property to determine the best setup. This includes considering factors such as your yard layout, power source and charging station location and where the perimeter wire should go for optimal mowing.
• Time Frame: approximately 1 hour.
• Customer presence require? Assessments can be done without anyone home but ideally the customer is home to discuss goals.
-
Based on the assessment, Kings will create a quote outlining materials and service time needed.
• Time Frame: Quotes are provided to the customer in 1-3 business days.
-
Quotes must be confirmed in writing.
• Time Frame: Quotes are only valid for acceptance in the year they are provided in.
• Installation Time Frame: this information will be provided during quote process as it is based on current scheduling.
-
Depending on scheduling, these may occur in any order:
• Flag Out: A Kings technician will flag out your yard to indicate where the perimeter wire and the charging station will be located.
Time Frame: approximately 30 minutes to an hour.
Customer presence required? No, but it is preferred so technician can walk through flag placement.
• Alberta One-Call/Utility Safety Partners: Kings will contact for any necessary yard markings.
-
Depending on your yard, either a machine or technicians will install wires underground. Smaller yards may have the wire and charging station installed at the same time. Larger locations may require multiple days. Once installed, the technician will clean up the area (please see *Important* note below) and test the system to ensure proper functioning.
• Time Frame: yard dependent, to be discussed ahead of time.
• Customer presence required: No.
• Important: During the installation of lighting wires, there may be temporary disruption to the aesthetics of your yard. While this process is underway, the grass landscape may appear less visually appealing (no damage is done to plants, flowers, etc). However, it’s crucial to recognize that this is a necessary step and with time, this will repair itself.
-
This usually occurs after the installation but can be flexible. A King’s technician will walk through the system with the customer to show how it all works and assist with any programming or help required.
• Time Frame: After installation, or as scheduled.
• Customer presence required? Yes.
-
Kings final walkthrough of the yard to ensure everything is recovering and working properly.
• Time Frame: 4-8 weeks after installation is complete.
• Customer presence required? No, but more than welcome to be.
